Another Dimensions in Leather is over, but hopefully not the last time! July 4th saw the start of the week-long Leather event of the year, Dimensions in Leather 2015 at St Lucia's  University of Queensland.

Some magnificent tutors were there including internationals like Peter Main, Bob Park, Bob Beard and Akiko Okada, and some locals like master plaiters, Bill Webb & Rick Rowbottom, saddler, John Short, bookbinder, Linda Douglas, Keith Johnston, Cherryl McIntyre & Lorraine Tinniswood.

Around 100 delegates enjoyed an array of workshops to choose from and spent the rest of the time talking about them!  Its really wonderful to speak the language of leather with likeminded people who share your passion.

Birdsalls were one of many stall holders at the conference together with Lefflers, who were a big help to us, Eastcoast Leather and Tandy.  Chaylor Fenelli, who make our great inserts made a few apperances too.

Sadly this could be the last DIL if we dont have someone to fill the shoes of Cherryl McIntyre who works tirelessly for the two years prior, right up to and beyond the conference end.  Its quite a daunting task to take on and it has taken its toll on Cherryl and her business.

We hope this will not be the last we hear of Dimensions and we thank Cherryl very, very much for the enormity of what Dimensions has offered us over the years.

Pictured here at the banquet dinner are five Al Stohlman Award winners, all in one place.  This is seriously the best of the best. Amazing!
