Amie says, “That was when mini skirts became in trend as a result of the feminist movements at that time allowing women’s fashion to be more free and liberating. Mary Quant, the designer, named the mini skirt after her Mini Cooper car, and so my skirt was a tribute to both that time period and the car itself. The black and white colour scheme also resembles 60s mod fashion.
